Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for NISQ-era and fault-tolerant systems
- Lead cross-functional R&D projects in quantum error correction and hardware optimization
- Develop quantum machine learning frameworks for predictive modeling and pattern recognition
- Secure and manage $2M+ in annual research grants from DARPA and NSF
- Mentor PhD candidates and publish in Nature Physics/Quantum journals
- Partner with quantum hardware teams to co-design next-generation processors
- Translate theoretical advances into commercial applications with Fortune 500 partners
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Mathematics with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing journals (arXiv:quant-ph, Nature)
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and circuit optimization
- Proficiency in quantum hardware architectures (superconducting, ion trap, photonic)
- Strong background in quantum information theory and complexity classes
- Experience securing government/industry research grants (> $1M awarded)
- Proven ability to lead interdisciplinary technical teams
