Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant computing
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead research in topological qubit stabilization techniques
- Collaborate with hardware teams on qubit coherence enhancement
- Publish findings in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $2M+ in DOE/NIST quantum research grants
- Mentor postdocs in quantum machine learning frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience with quantum circuit simulation (Qiskit/Cirq)
- Published work in quantum error correction or topological computing
- Expertise in tensor network methods for quantum many-body systems
- Strong Python/C++ programming for quantum algorithm development
- Familiarity with superconducting or ion-trap qubit architectures
- Track record of securing federal quantum research funding
