Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation challenges
- Develop error mitigation techniques to enhance quantum circuit reliability
- Lead cross-functional teams to translate quantum research into commercial prototypes
- Publish breakthrough findings in top-tier journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure patents for quantum-resistant cryptographic protocols
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault-tolerant computing
- Expertise in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and computational complexity
- Proven track record of securing NSF or DoD quantum research grants
- Experience with superconducting qubit platforms or trapped-ion systems
