Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop quantum error correction codes to stabilize qubit operations
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to translate theoretical models into practical implementations
- Lead research on post-quantum cryptographic standards for 2026 compliance
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure $5M+ in government and private research grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Proficiency with high-performance computing frameworks (C++, Python, MPI)
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Track record of securing research funding or patents
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics and linear algebra
