Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction protocols to enhance qubit stability and coherence times
- Lead cross-functional projects with hardware engineers to prototype quantum processors
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, Quantum)
- Secure $1M+ in government and industry research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates and lead quantum computing workshops
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum machine learning models
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement, superposition, and decoherence
- Expertise in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Strong track record of securing competitive research funding
