Responsibilities
- Lead R&D initiatives in quantum algorithm development for optimization and simulation problems
- Design and implement quantum error correction protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype quantum processors at room temperature
- Publish findings in leading scientific journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and secure government/private research grants
- Develop patentable quantum computing methodologies for industrial applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum specialization
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Published research in quantum information theory or quantum hardware
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and statistical mechanics
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems or photonic quantum processors
- Track record of securing research funding ($500k+ preferred)
