Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for machine learning optimization
- Develop error-corrected qubit architectures using superconducting and photonic systems
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype quantum-classical hybrid computing solutions
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to advance quantum annealing technologies
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at international conferences
- Secure federal grants and corporate partnerships for quantum initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research with published papers
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and complex analysis
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and RF engineering
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding ($500k+ preferred)
