Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing novel quantum algorithms and protocols for 2026 applications
- Design and implement scalable quantum architectures with fault-tolerant capabilities
- Drive research initiatives in quantum error correction and quantum supremacy
- Collaborate with industry partners to identify commercial quantum computing opportunities
- Secure and manage $5M+ in government and private research funding
- Present breakthrough findings at international quantum computing conferences
- Mentor PhD researchers and publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (post-doc preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with quantum computing platforms (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Proven track record of securing federal research grants (NSF, DOE, DARPA)
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant systems
- Experience leading technical teams of 10+ researchers
- Strong background in high-performance computing architectures
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain one
