Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead cross-functional teams of quantum physicists and software engineers
- Develop error mitigation protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Publish research in Nature Physics/Science with quarterly impact targets
- Partner with government agencies (DARPA, NSF) on quantum security initiatives
- Drive commercialization of quantum solutions for finance and healthcare sectors
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or Q# programming frameworks
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems and cryogenic engineering
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Track record of securing federal research grants ($1M+)
- Clearance for government-contractual work (preferred)
