Responsibilities
- Lead research initiatives in quantum algorithm development and error correction techniques
- Direct a team of quantum physicists and software engineers to achieve milestone-based objectives
- Collaborate with commercial teams to identify and prioritize high-impact quantum applications
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Develop quantum computing architectures capable of fault-tolerant operations at scale
- Establish strategic partnerships with quantum hardware providers and academic institutions
- Secure external funding through government grants and private investment channels
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science or top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil, Cirq) and quantum circuit design
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical projects with cross-functional teams
- Experience securing research grants ($1M+ preferred)
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy milestones and industry roadmaps
