Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize qubit architectures for 2026-scale applications
- Publish research in top-tier journals and present at IEEE/ACM quantum computing conferences
- Mentor PhD researchers and drive innovation in quantum machine learning frameworks
- Secure $5M+ in government and industry grants for quantum research initiatives
- Develop patent portfolios for quantum-resistant encryption methods
- Partner with Fortune 500 clients on quantum adoption roadmaps
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development with superconducting/ion-trap systems
- Published research in Nature/Science/Physical Review X journals
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Experience securing NSF/NIH/DARPA research grants
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with quantum simulation libraries
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-disciplinary technical teams
