Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum algorithms for real-world applications in cryptography, AI, and materials science
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of physicists, engineers, and computer scientists
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Secure $10M+ in research grants and partnerships with government agencies
- Author white papers and patents for next-generation quantum technologies
- Collaborate with NASA, IBM, and MIT on quantum internet infrastructure
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Published work in Nature/Science journals on quantum computing
- Expertise in quantum error correction and topological qubits
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization
- Track record of securing federal research grants (NSF/DOE)
- Experience leading teams of 10+ technical researchers
- Deep understanding of quantum machine learning applications
- Patents or pending patents in quantum technologies
