Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation applications
- Lead a team of 8-12 quantum researchers and software engineers
- Collaborate with industry partners to develop commercial quantum solutions
- Secure research grants and publish in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Translate theoretical models into practical quantum circuit implementations
- Present findings at international conferences and patent key innovations
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Publication record in quantum computing or related fields
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Quil)
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience leading cross-functional technical teams
- Knowledge of NISQ-era limitations and mitigation strategies
- US citizenship or permanent residency required (for government collaborations)
