Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for real-world commercial applications
- Lead a cross-functional team of physicists, engineers, and data scientists
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for scalable systems
- Establish industry partnerships for technology transfer and validation
- Secure research funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and top-tier conferences
- Mentor PhD researchers and interns in quantum methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum focus
- 5+ years of quantum algorithm development experience
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent venues
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum frameworks
- Proven track record of securing federal research grants
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction techniques
- Experience leading technical teams of 8+ researchers
- Patents in quantum computing or related fields preferred
