Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum algorithm experiments using superconducting qubits and photonic systems
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers to develop quantum-resistant encryption protocols
- Collaborate with MIT and Caltech on quantum error correction methodologies for fault-tolerant systems
- Translate theoretical quantum models into practical implementations using Python and Qiskit frameworks
- Present research findings at IEEE Quantum Week and Nature journals
- Secure $5M+ in government grants for quantum security initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Published work in Nature/Science on quantum algorithms or hardware
- Expertise in quantum annealing (D-Wave) or superconducting qubit manipulation
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil) and high-performance computing
- Experience leading DoE or NSF-funded quantum research projects
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and decoherence mitigation
- Strong background in topological quantum computing theory
