Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction protocols for quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuit performance
- Create quantum machine learning models for predictive analytics
- Lead cross-functional projects integrating quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Document research findings and publish in peer-reviewed journals
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum computing principles
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in quantum computing research or commercial development
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Experience with superconducting or ion-trap quantum systems
- Publication record in quantum computing or high-energy physics
- Expertise in cloud quantum computing platforms (AWS Braket, IBM Quantum)
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts into practical solutions
