Responsibilities
- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum processor architectures for 2026-era applications
- Lead quantum error correction algorithm development for scalable quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum-classical hybrid computing workflows
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory and experimental physics
- Develop proprietary quantum simulation frameworks for industrial applications
- Secure $5M+ in R&D funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Drive open-source quantum software ecosystem contributions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Theoretical Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, LDPC, color codes)
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane)
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum hardware
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional technical teams
- Expertise in quantum machine learning algorithms and applications
- Strong background in topological quantum computing theory
