Job Description
Join Aethelgard Quantum Systems, a leading pioneer in post-silicon computing, as we accelerate towards the 2026 commercialization roadmap. We are seeking a brilliant Quantum Algorithm Architect to bridge the gap between theoretical physics and scalable software engineering. In this pivotal role, you will design the logic that will solve problems deemed impossible for classical computers, directly shaping the infrastructure of the future.
Why Join Us?
As we gear up for the 2026 rollout, we offer unparalleled opportunities for growth, equity participation, and the chance to work with state-of-the-art hardware. If you are passionate about the intersection of mathematics, physics, and computer science, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize quantum algorithms for NISQ (Noisy Intermediate-Scale Quantum) devices, focusing on error mitigation and noise resilience.
- Collaborate closely with hardware engineering teams to align software logic with the specific constraints of emerging qubit architectures.
- Translate complex theoretical quantum mechanics concepts into production-ready, scalable software libraries.
- Conduct research into novel quantum error correction codes and hybrid quantum-classical approaches.
- Mentor junior researchers and software engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- Present technical findings to stakeholders and contribute to the intellectual property strategy of the company.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field with a focus on quantum information science.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in algorithm development, preferably within a quantum computing environment.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, and Qiskit or Cirq.
- Deep understanding of linear algebra, probability theory, and complex systems.
- Experience with cloud-based quantum computing platforms (e.g., IBM Quantum, AWS Braket) is highly desirable.
- Strong track record of publishing in peer-reviewed journals or presenting at major industry conferences.
