Responsibilities
- Design and implement hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks for optimization problems
- Lead development of error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to co-design quantum processors tailored for AI workloads
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patent disclosures for novel quantum algorithms
- Mentor cross-functional teams in quantum-computing best practices
- Secure $1M+ in government/private research grants for 2026 initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years developing quantum algorithms or quantum machine learning models
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Publication record in Nature/Science or top-tier conference proceedings
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Expertise in Python, TensorFlow, and high-performance computing systems
- Clearance for DOE/NIST quantum security protocols preferred
