Responsibilities
- Design and implement hybrid quantum-classical AI models for complex optimization problems
- Lead research in quantum neural networks and quantum machine learning algorithms
- Develop error mitigation protocols for practical quantum AI applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors optimized for AI workloads
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor PhD researchers and establish industry standards for quantum AI ethics
- Secure federal grants and DARPA partnerships for quantum AI initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years of research experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE) and quantum programming (Q#, Qiskit)
- Published work in quantum machine learning or quantum information theory
- Proficiency with high-performance computing frameworks (C++, Python, TensorFlow Quantum)
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding ($500k+ preferred)
- Strong background in AI/ML with deep learning architecture expertise
