Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum machine learning algorithms for optimization and pattern recognition
- Design hybrid quantum-classical computing architectures for real-world applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping and validating quantum AI solutions
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum algorithm performance on emerging hardware
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at international conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grants
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum computing principles
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in quantum algorithm development or quantum machine learning
- Proficiency in Python, Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics and information theory
- Strong publication record in quantum computing or AI research
- Experience with cloud-based quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding
- Expertise in at least one classical ML framework (TensorFlow, PyTorch)
