Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and system performance using tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, and ELK Stack to ensure 99.99% uptime.
- Respond to and resolve critical alerts and tickets generated by automated monitoring systems during the night shift.
- Conduct root cause analysis for system outages and document resolutions in our knowledge base.
- Collaborate with day-shift engineering teams to hand over incident reports and ensure seamless continuity.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including patch management and log reviews, outside of standard business hours.
- Escalate complex security threats or hardware failures to senior leadership immediately.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Network Operations Center (NOC) or Help Desk environments.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or Security+ are highly preferred.
- Must be available to work the night shift (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM) on a rotating schedule.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure during outages.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear ticketing and reporting.
