Responsibilities
- Load and Unload Freight: Safely operate material handling equipment to load and unload trucks in a timely and accurate manner.
- Inventory Management: Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records within the warehouse management system.
- Picking and Packing: Efficiently pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring all packaging meets quality standards.
- Equipment Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any safety hazards or mechanical issues immediately.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety guidelines and company protocols to maintain a secure workplace.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and shift supervisors to ensure workflow efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous warehouse experience preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating night shifts (typically 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- License: Valid forklift certification is a plus.
- Reliability: Must have a reliable history of attendance and punctuality.
