As a Night Shift Administrator, you will be the first line of defense for our network health. You will troubleshoot complex issues, manage system patches, and ensure our 24/7 services remain uninterrupted. Responsibilities
- Monitor network performance, traffic, and server health 24/7 to ensure maximum uptime and availability.
- Perform routine maintenance, patch management, and security updates during low-traffic hours.
- Respond to and resolve critical network incidents, outages, and security alerts immediately.
- Manage and troubleshoot VPNs, firewalls, and remote access solutions for internal and external stakeholders.
- Document all system changes, incident reports, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) in the ITSM database.
- Collaborate with the Day Shift engineering team to plan and execute upcoming infrastructure upgrades.
- Conduct nightly backup verification and disaster recovery testing.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in network administration, system support, or IT helpdesk.
- Valid Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP protocols.
- Ability to work flexible night shift schedules, including weekends and holidays.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Relevant Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios) is a plus.
