Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and treatment preparations
- Perform vital sign checks, EKGs, and basic lab tests
- Manage patient records and maintain electronic health systems
- Administer medications and injections under physician supervision
- Schedule appointments and handle administrative tasks
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Coordinate with healthcare team for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA) or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient setting
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic/NextGen preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure situations
- Valid CPR/BLS certification
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends/on-call
