Responsibilities
- Architect and implement advanced quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning tasks.
- Design and optimize hybrid quantum-classical pipelines using cloud-based quantum processors.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to improve qubit coherence and error mitigation techniques.
- Define architectural standards and best practices for the Quantum Engineering division.
- Lead technical mentorship and code reviews for a diverse team of quantum physicists and software engineers.
- Stay ahead of the curve on emerging quantum computing standards and research breakthroughs.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Physics, or a related field with a focus on Quantum Information Science.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on high-performance computing or quantum computing.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, and Qiskit or Cirq.
- Deep understanding of linear algebra, probability theory, and statistical mechanics.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) for quantum computing workloads.
