Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the 2026 strategic foresight framework, identifying disruptive technologies and market opportunities
- Lead cross-functional workshops to align leadership on future scenarios and risk mitigation strategies
- Produce quarterly trend reports with data-driven analysis of AI, quantum computing, and biotech convergence
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs to incubate 2026-vision initiatives
- Mentor a team of futurists and researchers while managing a $5M innovation budget
- Represent the company at global forums including Davos and TechCrunch Disrupt
- Design and launch Horizon's 2026 Innovation Lab, a physical/digital hub for prototyping future technologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futuristics, Systems Thinking, or related field with 10+ years of strategic foresight experience
- Proven track record of developing multi-year roadmaps that resulted in measurable market disruption
- Deep expertise in exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, synthetic biology) and their societal implications
- Exceptional storytelling abilities to translate complex scenarios into compelling executive narratives
- Published thought leadership in journals like MIT Tech Review or Futures Research Quarterly
- Experience building and managing high-performing research teams with diverse expertise
- Proficiency in scenario planning tools (e.g., Causal Layered Analysis) and predictive analytics platforms
- Portfolio demonstrating successful 5-10 year strategic implementations
