Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Administer injections, medications, and perform vital sign assessments
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and patient files
- Schedule appointments and handle patient correspondence professionally
- Assist with laboratory specimen collection and processing
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA compliance protocols
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA/MA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient setting
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure situations
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Valid Maryland driver's license for potential travel between locations
