Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 innovation roadmap, identifying emerging technologies with disruptive potential
- Lead cross-functional 'Future Scenarios' workshops with C-suite executives and R&D teams
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and emerging tech startups
- Translate futuristic concepts into viable business cases with 18-36 month execution horizons
- Present innovation blueprints to investors and board members through compelling data visualizations
- Manage a $5M+ innovation portfolio with quarterly ROI assessments
- Champion a culture of calculated experimentation and rapid prototyping
Qualifications
- 10+ years in innovation strategy, R&D leadership, or emerging tech commercialization
- Proven track record of launching products or services with 3+ years future impact
- Deep expertise in at least two of: AI/ML, quantum computing, synthetic biology, or neurotech
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business with focus on innovation
- Portfolio showcasing 3+ futuristic projects with measurable market impact
- Experience securing >$10M in innovation funding from VCs or corporate ventures
- Certification in futures forecasting (e.g., from Institute for the Future preferred)
