Responsibilities
- Lead horizon-scanning initiatives to identify emerging technologies, market trends, and societal shifts impacting 2026+ landscapes
- Develop strategic foresight frameworks translating future scenarios into actionable business roadmaps
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops with R&D, product, and leadership teams to align on future visions
- Author thought leadership reports and predictive models for stakeholder decision-making
- Build and maintain a global network of futurists, academics, and industry innovators
- Integrate sustainability and ethical considerations into all future-strategy formulations
- Present strategic recommendations to executive leadership and board committees
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Innovation Management, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or future-focused leadership role
- Proven track record developing and implementing future-oriented business strategies
- Expertise in trend analysis, scenario planning, and technological forecasting methodologies
- Exceptional presentation skills with experience to executive audiences
- Deep understanding of AI, biotech, climate tech, and quantum computing trajectories
- Strong network within futurist communities (WFS, APF, etc.)
- Certification in strategic foresight (e.g., CFIF) strongly preferred
