Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies and market disruptors with 3-10 year impact
- Develop and present strategic foresight frameworks to executive leadership and board members
- Architect scenario planning models for business continuity in volatile future environments
- Facilitate cross-functional innovation workshops to embed future-thinking into product roadmaps
- Establish and maintain relationships with academic institutions, startups, and global innovation hubs
- Translate complex future trends into quantifiable business opportunities and risk assessments
- Drive the development of Horizon Dynamics' 2026-2030 innovation portfolio
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Innovation Management, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or future-focused R&D
- Proven track record of predicting and capitalizing on emerging tech trends
- Expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and horizon scanning methodologies
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate complex futures into executive insights
- Experience with AI, quantum computing, biotech, or climate tech forecasting
- Portfolio demonstrating published foresight work or implemented future-based strategies
