Responsibilities
- Analyze global megatrends (AI, biotech, climate tech, etc.) to identify opportunities for 2026+ market disruption
- Develop scenario-based strategic frameworks for enterprise innovation pipelines
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate foresight into actionable product roadmaps
- Build and maintain ecosystem partnerships with emerging tech startups and research institutions
- Produce executive-level trend reports and innovation briefings for board stakeholders
- Design and implement horizon-scanning methodologies using predictive analytics
- Mentor a team of innovation specialists while fostering a culture of calculated experimentation
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Innovation Management, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategy, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership at Fortune 500 companies
- Proven track record of forecasting technology adoption curves with 85%+ accuracy
- Expertise in systems thinking, scenario planning, and trend analysis methodologies
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI)
- Exceptional storytelling abilities to communicate complex futures to diverse audiences
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation strategy (e.g., HBR, MIT Sloan)
- Experience managing innovation budgets exceeding $5M annually
