Responsibilities
- Architect and execute the 2026 innovation roadmap, identifying breakthrough opportunities in quantum, AI, and biotech convergence
- Lead cross-functional teams of researchers, engineers, and product strategists to develop prototype solutions
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and tech incubators specializing in emerging technologies
- Conduct horizon scanning and trend analysis to anticipate paradigm shifts affecting global markets
- Present innovation frameworks to C-suite executives and external stakeholders with compelling data visualization
- Mentor junior futurists and cultivate a culture of experimental innovation
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Futures Studies, or related field with 8+ years experience
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (quantum/AI/biotech preferred)
- Expertise in scenario planning and technology forecasting methodologies
- Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks for emerging tech (FDA, FCC, etc.)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences
- Published research or thought leadership in futurism or technology innovation
- Experience managing R&D budgets exceeding $5M
