Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging technology trends and market disruptions to inform strategic planning for 2026+ horizons
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives in AI, quantum computing, and biotechnology integration
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technology roadmaps aligned with organizational growth objectives
- Conduct horizon scanning and competitive intelligence to identify first-mover advantages
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite executives and board stakeholders
- Manage innovation pipelines and prioritize technology investments based on ROI and market impact
- Collaborate with product teams to translate strategic vision into actionable development plans
- Represent the organization at industry conferences and thought leadership forums
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years in technology strategy, R&D management, or emerging tech consulting
- Proven track record in developing and implementing 5+ year technology roadmaps
- Expertise in at least two emerging technology domains: AI/ML, quantum computing, or synthetic biology
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
- Strong analytical skills with experience in trend analysis and scenario planning
- Exceptional communication abilities to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Experience leading cross-functional teams through ambiguous technology transitions
- Certification in technology management or strategic foresight (e.g., CFTE, CSM) preferred
