As a key member of our R&D leadership team, you'll collaborate with quantum computing specialists, AI ethicists, and sustainable energy pioneers to develop roadmaps for technologies that will redefine industries by 2030. You'll lead cross-functional initiatives, secure strategic partnerships with research institutions, and present breakthrough concepts to C-suite executives and venture capital partners.
Responsibilities
- Develop 5-10 year technology roadmaps for quantum computing, AI governance, and climate tech integration
- Lead cross-functional workshops to identify disruptive opportunities in Web4.0 and biotech convergence
- Secure $5M+ annual R&D budgets through compelling business case presentations
- Mentor a team of 12 futurists and technology architects
- Publish thought leadership in IEEE Nature Technology Review and similar venues
- Negotiate strategic partnerships with MIT Media Lab, CERN, and other innovation hubs
- Oversee implementation of ethical AI frameworks across all product development
Qualifications
- 15+ years in strategic technology planning with 5+ years in emerging tech forecasting
- PhD in Computer Science, Physics, or related field from Tier 1 institution
- Proven track record of commercializing breakthrough technologies (3+ successful exits)
- Deep expertise in quantum algorithms, generative AI ethics, and carbon-negative tech
- Experience securing Series B+ funding for experimental R&D initiatives
- Published author in peer-reviewed journals (minimum 5 citations in Nature/Science)
- Fluency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum programming languages (Qiskit/Cirq)
- Validated ability to translate complex technical concepts to executive stakeholders
