Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive 2026 technology roadmaps aligning with market trends and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype and validate emerging technologies (quantum AI, neuromorphic computing)
- Conduct horizon scanning for disruptive innovations and assess commercial viability
- Collaborate with C-suite executives to integrate future-tech strategies into corporate vision
- Secure $5M+ annual R&D funding through compelling innovation proposals
- Represent Nexus at global tech summits and publish thought leadership in Nature/Science
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 8+ years experience
- Proven track record in quantum computing or AI research (peer-reviewed publications required)
- Expertise in technology forecasting methodologies (Delphi, scenario planning)
- Strong background in sustainable tech and ESG compliance frameworks
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants (SBIR, DARPA)
- Exceptional strategic communication skills for executive and technical audiences
- Certification in Technology Foresight (TFIA) preferred
