Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 technology vision roadmap, aligning with global sustainability goals and market disruption forecasts
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives integrating quantum computing, bio-interfaces, and decentralized systems
- Establish strategic partnerships with MIT Media Lab, CERN, and emerging tech startups for 2026-2030 innovations
- Design and implement predictive analytics frameworks for technology adoption curves and market shifts
- Oversee prototyping and real-world testing of next-gen technologies in our Austin Innovation District
- Present quarterly strategic briefings to C-suite and Board of Trustees, including patent portfolio recommendations
- Manage $50M+ R&D budget allocation across 2026 technology verticals with ROI optimization
Qualifications
- PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Quantum Physics, or Strategic Innovation with 8+ years experience
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (AI, quantum, blockchain, or biotech)
- Deep expertise in technology forecasting frameworks (e.g., Gartner Hype Cycle, Delphi Method)
- Published research in peer-reviewed journals on future technology impacts or sustainable tech
