Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon scanning for emerging technologies (quantum, AI ethics, biotech convergence)
- Develop 5-year strategic technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with engineering, product, and design teams
- Present technology forecasts to C-suite and board of directors
- Establish partnerships with academic research labs and tech incubators
- Manage $2M+ annual innovation budget with ROI-focused allocation
- Author thought leadership pieces for industry publications and conferences
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in technology strategy, R&D, or innovation leadership
- Proven experience with emerging technology adoption frameworks
- Deep expertise in at least two of: AI/ML, quantum computing, AR/VR, or sustainable tech
- Strong financial modeling skills for tech investment analysis
