Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 3-5 year technology innovation roadmaps aligned with market trends
- Lead horizon scanning for breakthrough technologies (quantum computing, AI ethics, biotech convergence)
- Design proof-of-concept frameworks for emerging tech applications
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and investor committees
- Manage innovation portfolio with $10M+ annual R&D budget
- Partner with product teams to integrate future tech into commercial offerings
- Author thought leadership on industry disruption and future-proofing strategies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D management, or innovation consulting
- Proven track record of launching tech-forward products/services post-2020
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI, blockchain, IoT, quantum)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business with tech focus
- Certification in Innovation Management or Futures Thinking preferred
- Experience scaling teams in high-growth tech environments
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex tech concepts into business value
- Portfolio of successful innovation initiatives with measurable impact
