Responsibilities
- Lead strategic technology roadmapping for 2026+ product development cycles
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies with disruptive potential
- Secure and manage $5M+ annual R&D grants from federal/private sources
- Direct cross-functional teams of AI researchers, quantum engineers, and sustainability experts
- Develop intellectual property portfolios with 15+ annual patent filings
- Present technology forecasts to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Forge partnerships with MIT, Stanford, and EU innovation hubs
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Quantum Engineering, or related field
- 8+ years in tech strategy with 3+ in emerging technologies
- Proven track record of securing $3M+ in R&D funding
- Expertise in at least two of: AI ethics, quantum computing, or green tech
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Experience scaling R&D teams from 10 to 50+ members
- Deep understanding of global tech policy landscapes
- Fluency in Mandarin or German preferred
