Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year technology strategy roadmap aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies with disruptive potential (2026-2030)
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype and validate future-facing solutions
- Analyze patent landscapes and competitor tech portfolios to identify strategic gaps
- Present technology forecasts and recommendations to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Manage partnerships with academic institutions and tech incubators for R&D collaboration
- Establish KPIs for innovation initiatives and track ROI on experimental technologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D management, or innovation leadership
- Proven track record in forecasting and implementing emerging technologies
- Expertise in at least two of: AI/ML, quantum computing, biotech, or clean energy tech
- Experience with scenario planning and risk modeling for technological disruption
- Strong analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights
- Exceptional communication skills for translating technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- MSc/PhD in relevant field or equivalent industry certification (e.g., CTO, CIO)
- Published thought leadership on future technology trends preferred
