Responsibilities
- Research and analyze emerging technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology, AR/VR) to identify commercial opportunities for 2026 market readiness
- Develop strategic technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives and industry disruption forecasts
- Lead cross-functional workshops to align engineering, marketing, and product teams on future-tech integration
- Author white papers and executive briefings on technological trends and competitive implications
- Partner with venture capital teams to evaluate and source breakthrough startups for acquisition/partnerships
- Represent company at global tech forums (Web Summit, CES, etc.) to establish thought leadership
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business with specialization in emerging technologies
- 8+ years in strategic planning or R&D leadership within tech or biotech sectors
- Proven track record forecasting technology adoption curves and market impacts
- Expertise in at least two of: AI/ML, quantum computing, neurotech, or climate-tech
- Certification in technology foresight (e.g., Foresight Practitioner) or equivalent experience
- Exceptional presentation skills with executive-level communication abilities
- Portfolio of published tech trend analyses or strategic frameworks
