Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 5-10 year technology roadmaps aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives in emerging fields (quantum AI, biotech convergence, AR/VR)
- Conduct competitive analysis and patent landscape reviews for emerging technologies
- Present strategic insights to C-suite executives and external stakeholders
- Manage innovation incubator programs with $5M+ annual budget
- Partner with academic institutions and government labs for tech transfer
Qualifications
- 15+ years in strategic technology planning with 5+ in future-tech roles
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Proven track record launching at least 3 breakthrough technologies
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, AR/VR, etc.)
- Executive experience in Fortune 500 or scale-up tech environments
- Published research in top-tier journals/conferences (NeurIPS, Nature, etc.)
