Responsibilities
- Develop and execute multi-year technology strategies aligning with 2026 industry disruption forecasts
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping and scaling emerging tech solutions (AI, quantum computing, biotech)
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify breakthrough technologies with 3-5 year market impact
- Partner with C-suite executives to integrate innovation into corporate vision and growth plans
- Manage $15M+ R&D portfolio with rigorous ROI analysis and risk mitigation frameworks
- Represent company at global tech summits and build strategic partnerships with research institutions
- Mentor innovation teams while fostering a culture of calculated experimentation
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy, innovation management, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of launching at least two market-defining tech products
- Deep expertise in at least three emerging tech domains (AI/ML, quantum computing, AR/VR, synthetic biology)
- Executive presence with experience presenting to C-suite and boards
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business with focus on innovation
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry whitepapers
- Certification in Technology Foresight or Strategic Innovation Management preferred
- Portfolio demonstrating successful technology commercialization
