Responsibilities
- Lead research initiatives in emerging technologies (quantum AI, biotech convergence, climate tech)
- Develop and prototype innovative solutions with 10+ industry partners
- Publish 3+ high-impact papers annually in IEEE/Nature journals
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF/NIH/DARPA
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional innovation teams
- Present findings at global tech summits (Web Summit, CES, TED)
- Collaborate with patent attorneys to protect intellectual property
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Physics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in applied R&D with published peer-reviewed work
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum/AI/ML/biotech)
- Proven grant-writing success with $500K+ secured funding
- Strong Python/C++ proficiency with cloud deployment experience
- Experience leading cross-continental research teams
- Deep understanding of ethical AI frameworks and sustainability metrics
- Fluency in English with excellent presentation skills
