Responsibilities
- Architect scalable frameworks for quantum-resistant cryptography and decentralized identity systems
- Lead cross-disciplinary teams in prototyping neural interface prototypes for healthcare applications
- Develop ethical governance frameworks for autonomous AI systems operating in regulated environments
- Design sustainable data architectures supporting 10,000+ IoT nodes with zero-emission edge computing
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies with 2026 commercialization potential
- Present strategic roadmaps to C-suite executives and government innovation councils
- Mentor junior researchers in responsible innovation methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Quantum Engineering, or related field with 8+ years R&D leadership
- Proven expertise in quantum algorithms, post-quantum cryptography, or neuromorphic computing
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, IEEE) on future technologies
- Experience with ethical AI frameworks and regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA, EU AI Act)
- Portfolio demonstrating commercialization of at least two emerging technologies
- Security clearance eligibility for federal research partnerships (preferred)
- Fluency in Python, Rust, and quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
