Responsibilities
- Architect 5-10 year technology roadmaps for emerging domains including quantum computing, neural interfaces, and sustainable AI systems
- Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, and researchers to prototype and validate next-gen concepts
- Identify and evaluate disruptive technologies through patent analysis, academic partnerships, and startup scouting
- Develop strategic frameworks for ethical AI deployment and responsible innovation governance
- Present future tech vision to C-suite executives and board members with data-driven impact projections
- Forge alliances with academic institutions, government agencies, and industry consortiums
- Monitor global tech trends and regulatory shifts to inform strategic pivots
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with 5+ years in emerging tech domains
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Proven track record of launching at least two breakthrough technologies from concept to market
- Expertise in futures research methodologies, scenario planning, and technology forecasting
- Deep understanding of quantum computing, biotechnology convergence, or climate tech ecosystems
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Published research or patents in at least one future-facing technology field
- Certification in technology foresight or strategic innovation management
