Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year innovation roadmaps for quantum computing applications in healthcare and climate science
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype and validate next-generation neural interfaces
- Conduct horizon scanning for emerging technologies with potential to disrupt markets by 2026
- Design ethical frameworks for AI deployment in critical infrastructure systems
- Collaborate with venture partners to incubate spin-off technologies from our research pipeline
- Present strategic visions to C-suite executives and board members quarterly
- Secure $10M+ annual R&D budget through compelling innovation proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field with 8+ years experience
- Proven track record of scaling innovations from concept to market impact
- Deep expertise in quantum computing, neuromorphic systems, or synthetic biology
- Published research in Nature, Science, or IEEE journals (2019-2023)
- Experience securing federal grants (DARPA, NSF) or corporate R&D funding
- Fluency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum programming languages
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ commercialized innovations with $50M+ revenue impact
- Professional certification in Future Studies or Strategic Foresight
