Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport packages to residential and commercial addresses throughout the Washington DC metropolitan area.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Interact with customers professionally to resolve any delivery concerns or requests.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, adhering to weight limits and safety protocols.
- Utilize handheld technology to scan packages and update delivery statuses in real-time.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record (no DUIs or recent major traffic violations).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Must have a smartphone with data capabilities for navigation and app-based tasks.
- Physically capable of lifting packages up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
