Our Austin campus offers state-of-the-art facilities and a dynamic team of Nobel laureates, Turing Award recipients, and UN AI ethics advisors. This position reports directly to our Chief Ethics Officer and includes executive-level stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement ethical governance frameworks for autonomous AI systems
- Lead cross-functional audits of machine learning algorithms for bias mitigation
- Develop regulatory compliance strategies for international AI standards (UNESCO, EU AI Act)
- Conduct scenario planning for existential AI risk assessment
- Train engineering teams on responsible AI development practices
- Author white papers on quantum ethics and neural network transparency
- Represent the company at global AI ethics summits
Qualifications
- PhD in Philosophy, Ethics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in AI ethics, governance, or responsible AI implementation
- Expertise in machine learning interpretability techniques (SHAP, LIME)
- Deep understanding of global AI regulations (GDPR, EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF)
- Published research on algorithmic bias or AI alignment
- Experience with quantum computing ethical implications
- Proven ability to translate complex ethical concepts into technical requirements
- Professional certification in AI Ethics (e.g., IEEE Ethics Certification)
